Aimed at children aged 9-16
Fortnightly sessions within term time. Starting 1st June 2024
Focused around , Refashioning, Upcycling and Repair, our aim is to inspire your child to not only learn how to sew but also to think differently about clothes.
Learning how clothes are made, reducing the environmental impact of fast fashion by learning how to make your clothes last longer by repairing or refashioning items rather than heading to the bin.
Projects such as making slippers out of old jumpers, refashioning denim into bags, old towels into cleansing cloths and hair wraps., blankets into jackets and much more.....
Gaining the following skills:
how to use a sewing machine
hand sewing techniques
Pattern and fabric cutting accuracy
Following a pattern and instruction
Benefits:
Creative outlet and expression
Making new friends and being in a different social environment
Fine motor skill development
Practical life skills
Sustainable and helping to reduce environmental impact
limited spaces- booking is essential.
