Daisy, Smock Dress - Drafting and Sewing Workshop Venue: IDC Bromsgrove Workshop Date: 15th July 2023 10am - 4pm Details: Join Author and Sewing Bee Star, Jenniffer Taylor to create a made to measure garment by Draft It Yourself (D.I.Y). This pattern uses your body measurements to create this stunning smock dress with statement Bib front. (can also be made shortened to make a blouse if preferred) All skill Levels welcome but basic sewing machine use is required. You will need 3 metres of light weight woven fabric of your choice and 1 metre of 'statement' fabric for your contrast bib. (4 metres in total will be required)

You will spend the morning with Liske, printing your own fabric using thermofax screens and wooden printing blocks. Then after lunch Jenni will show you how to transform your piece of fabric into a fabulous reversible Artisan Apron.

Ember Jacket - Draft and Stitch workshop Venue: IDC College Workshop Date: 14th October 2023 10-4pm Details: Learn how to make this zero waste jacket by using your body measurements to create your pattern.
For a truly unique heirloom jacket, bring along your pre-sewn patchwork top that needs to be at least 2 X 2 metres squared. as well as wadding and backing to the same measurements. You can also 'sandwich and quilt' it a head of time but don't bind it.
Alternatively bring along a already made quilted bedthrow / blanket that is at least 2X2 metre square or larger if wanting it longer.
within the workshop you will- *create a pattern using your body measurements *deconstruct / construct your 'quilt' to transform it into a jacket. *gain sewing machine skills and tips.

Sashiko Sampler Workshop Venue: Littleheath barn Studio Workshop Date: 20th October 2023 10am Details: Interested in learning more about this beautiful 'Little Stab' stitch called Sashiko? Join Jenniffer Taylor for a session of gentle stitching, while learning the basics on what makes this stitch so unique and versatile. Within the session, you will be creating a sashiko sampler that incorporates the different patterns. This can then be turned into a stunning wall hanging or decorative table runner. (As people hand stitch at different speeds, the creation of the hanging / table running is time dependent on completing the sashiko sampler but basic instructions will be given to take away with you, if we are not able to complete on the day)
For this workshop you will need to bring -A basic sewing kit. - A Sashiko needle or a long embroidery needle. -Any additional fabric that you may wish to include in the project. -Sewing machine to create the hanging/table runner.

Come and make what Ayia (my 4yr old daughter) and I call our 'Happy pants'! A simple two piece lounge/ PJ set consisting of a top and trousers that can be made for all the family; making it a great project for Christmas. (we even made a set for Ayia's Baby Doll)

A perfect workshop for those of you who have created your own hand printed and dyed fabrics and what to use them in a project. Whether you have used the system before, own the system and need some help with it or just want to try it out, this workshop is for you.
All lutterloh drafting equipment will be provided. 2 to 3 mtrs of Calico or inexpensive material will be required to make a toile (a practice make to check fit) A basic Sewing kit and bringing your own sewing machine is optional as there are machines available on site.
